Come on a mission trip to New Dawn!  Meet the kids, help with their needs and see a bit of beautiful, historical Guatemala.  You will travel in comfort and security with Juan Carlos of Highland Tours, be met at the airport, stay in the UNESCO World Heritage site colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala and make a difference in the lives of the orphans at New Dawn. 

Our scheduled mission trips will be Friday through Monday – Tuesday, depending on your choice. 

SCHEDULE:

First Day: Arrive at La Aurora Airport, Guatemala.  You will be picked up and transferred to Posada Don Rodrigo in Antigua (www.posadadedonrodrigo.com) Settle in, and if your flight gets in early enough, Juan Carlos will take
you on a tour of this beautiful little town.  Antigua is safe and you can enjoy your evening strolling the cobblestone streets, visiting the many small nightspots and restaurants or resting up from your plane trip.

Second Day:  After breakfast at Posada Don Rodrigo (they have a great restaurant), you will come to New Dawn to meet the kids!  We will find out what the most current needs are….food, supplies, or whatever you would like to purchase with your donation. Then, off to shop at Hyperpaiz (Guatemala Walmart), after which we will stop for lunch at Kacao in Guatemala City to sample typical Guatemala cuisine.
On the way back to the orphanage, Juan Carlos will treat us to a mini-tour of Guatemala City. We will drop off our supplies, play with the kids and then return to your hotel in Antigua.

Third Day:     MARCH TRIP only…..Palm Sunday procession in Antigua….followed by a visit to the orphanage to get meet the kids.  We’ll have breakfast at Finca Filadelfia, a coffee farm just outside Antigua, then on to New Dawn to play with the kids, organize or assemble our purchases, help with a current project, and learn how New Dawn and you are making a difference in the lives of these kids every day.  We’ll have a piñata party with the toddlers and have lunch supplied by New Dawn’s cook.  This is your day to hug, play, work and show the kids that someone cares.

Fourth Day:    Those who have chosen the three day trip will be transferred to La Aurora airport for their trip home.  If you would like to stay another day, you can spend it at the orphanage or seeing more of Guatemala with a choice of  tours to Lake Atitlan, Monterrico Beach on the Pacific, or hiking the Pacaya Volcano. 

Fifth Day:        Transfer to La Aurora airport in Guatemala City for your flight home.

PRICES:       - 3 nights/4 days including hotel (Posada Don Rodrigo or equivalent) all transportation and lunch at New Dawn is $452.00 per person. 

                        - 4 nights/5 days including hotel (Posada Don Rodrigo or equivalent), all transportation, lunch at New Dawn and one of the tours to Lake Atitlan,
Monterrico Beach or the Pacaya Volcano is $576.00 per person.

                        Prices are based on a minimum of two people.  Children under 12 are free!
