Many of the special needs children have correctable or minor medical concerns. Some have more serious medical problems. Any child, regardless of health, who is over the age of six years is automatically classified as a special needs child due to his/her age.
Once your file has been "Logged In" with CCAA, you can simultaneously be added to the Special Needs Program waiting list. If a child becomes available that meets your requests, we will make every effort to complete the adoption with that child. Typically, once a child has been accepted from the Special Needs Program, the child is home within 4 months.
