China Adopting parents need to be 30-45 years of age to adopt an infant.

*Not accepting Application from singles at this time.		 Approximately 14-16 months after submission of dossier to foreign government, you should receive a referral. Travel is 6 - 8 weeks later. 12-14 days. EAC advises both parents to travel. With proper Power of Attorney, one parent can travel. Girls, 9 months - 18 months of age are available.
Guatemala

We are currently waiting for implementation procedures as required by the Hague.		 Currently completing all adoption cases initiated before Dec. 31, 2007 under the old notorial process.
Both married couples and singles, ages 25 - 60. Infant referral time: 0-8 weeks after submission of complete Dossier and immigration approval.
Travel is approximately 6-8 months later.		 4-6 days. One parent may travel. Other family members / children may travel.

Children may be escorted.		 Infants available. Often referrals are 1 - 3 weeks old. 2 unrelated infants can be adopted at the same time.
Kazakhstan Married couples and single women. Single women should be 25 or more years of age. Adoptive parents can be no older than 50. Some stipulations regarding number of siblings in home, vary by region. 4 - 6 months . 2 trips, 22-35 days and 2-6 days.

Both parents are required to travel.		 Infants available. Siblings or 2 non-related children from the same orphanage may be adopted at the same time.

Russia It is required that married couples and single women be 25-48 years of age to adopt an infant and/or toddler. Approximately 5 - 12 months after Dossier has been submitted to the waiting lists in Russia, a referral will be assigned. After acceptance, travel is approximately 2 -12 weeks later. The wait for infant boys is usually much shorter than for infant girls. 1st trip - 4 - 7 days
2nd trip - 7 - 14 days*
3rd trip - 7 - 14 days

*May be longer if 10 Day wait is imposed during 2nd trip.

Both parents are required to travel both trips.		 Infants 12-18 months are available. Parents may adopt siblings, infants or an infant and a toddler. Non-related children from the same region may be adopted at the same time.
Ukraine Married couples are accepted. There is a liberal age range for parents. 3-7 months 3-5 weeks. Time varies due to the steps in the adoption process. Some regions require two or three trips. Infants, toddlers and children 14 months and older are available.

Notes:

  1. Special needs children are available upon request.
  2. English speaking person will accompany you during your foreign travel.
  3. In programs where one parent travels, pre-adoption requirements must be met and the Embassy/Consulate must be notified by the home study agency.
