international adoption agency. Since 1996, EAC has helped many children
find loving families. Most of the children were less than three (3) YEARS OLD.
Children adopted from Kazakhstan share an ethnically diverse heritage originating
from Mongolian, Turkish, Persian, and Russian decent. The majority of the
children available are of Asian and Euro-Asian decent.
Many families are attracted to our Kazakhstan adoption program because of the health of the
children. Due to the strong Asian traditional culture of
Kazakhstan, there have been a limited number of adoption concerns related to drug
or alcohol abuse.

Adoptive families can specify the age of the child(ren) they wish to
adopt.
Children as young as twelve (12) months old are available for adoption.

After submitting a complete dossier, a family will typically wait four to six
months before traveling to Kazakhstan to bring home their child. EAC's
Foreign Coordinators in Kazakhstan escort families through the adoption process.
They make all in-country travel arrangements for families, including accommodations,
transportation, and translators.
The average length of stay in Kazakhstan varies, as there are two travel options.
Option A consists of two possible trips. The first trip being a 22 to
35 day stay, in which you may return home for three weeks before traveling a second
time for a length of 2 to
6 days. Only one parent is required to travel on the
second trip.
Option B consists
of one long trip that may take up to seven (7) weeks to complete the adoption and you bring your child home.
After completing an adoption, EAC will receive your child’s U.S. exit visa at the U.S.
Embassy in Almaty, Kazakhstan. EAC staff in Almaty will arrange an embassy
appointment and escort adoptive parents to the U.S. Embassy for their embassy
interview.
EAC conducts free educational seminars and workshops throughout the United States. We
recommend that all families interested in adoption attend an EAC seminar to
gather information and meet members of the EAC staff. Families who have adopted
from Kazakhstan may be in attendance to tell their story and answer your questions or serve
as a reference for you.
