• EAC imposes no requirements for adoption from Russia beyond those imposed by CIS, local Courts of the adoptive couples, state law and the courts of Russia.


• There are some standards regarding number of divorces.


• Families must have CIS approval and a complete dossier including a home study completed by a licensed agency.


• Age requirements vary with the region where the child resides--check with your EAC representative if you're over 45.


• Single women can adopt.
