General Travel Information

Both parents must travel to Russia to adopt their child. Upon arrival in Moscow, parents are picked up at the airport, taken to the hotel, and escorted through the entire process by an English speaking representative. After completion of your adoption, an EAC representative will take your family to the Embassy appointment to obtain your child's Visa. Parents are able to take 2 very large suitcases to check in and one carry on per person. EAC Travel Dept. in Moscow will assist you with all of your travel arrangements.

Consulate registration is required of all families adopting children from the country of Russia. Prior to leaving Russia, and after going to court to complete your adoption, you are required to go to the Russian Consulate and register your child or children.
