- Prospective parents complete and submit the preliminary application information.
- File the I-600A Immigration documents; specify a Ukrainian adoption, with cable sent to the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine.
- EAC will assign a consultant who will assist in completing the Registration and Dossier documents.
- Your completed dossier is then reviewed at the EAC office and forwarded to the Ukraine.
- Your dossier is then translated into the Ukrainian language, and submitted to the Ukrainian National Adoption Center for adoption approval.
- Children available for adoption are between 14 months and 17 years old.
- Families travel and choose a child while in Ukraine.
- Parents are with English speaking EAC translators and coordinators while in the country.
- Travel can be 1 long trip or 2 trips.
- Exit visa for the child(ren) is received in Kiev, Ukraine.
- Approximate time frame start to finish is 7-9 months.
