The
Long Road Of Infertility
The
long road of infertility started about four years ago.

My husband and I
were trying to have children. Our internist tells us to try for a full year and if
there were no results, then come see him. Of course we waited the full year with no
results.
I was sent to an OB/GYN to fix my ovulation cycle. Another year passed. I was
then referred to an Infertility Specialist to find both my tubes blocked. My husband
tested fine, it had to be me.
I started a long course of Clomid therapy for six months, more
testing, increased dosages. Still no results. Invitrofertilization is the
path we chose next I am a perfect candidate - under 30 years old, healthy, active, no
foreseen problems. Blood tests after blood tests, endless needle sticks - it never
ends! Finally, the time has come to find out how many eggs we have ----what? NONE?! I
don't produce eggs?? Enough is enough. No more heartaches. Apparently, I was
Not a perfect candidate after all.
Infertility changed out lived but believe it or not, it was a
blessing in disguise! After we found out we were unable to have children of our own, we
decided, without hesitation, to adopt through EAC. We discovered the ultimate
treasure with our two sons. We could not be any happier than we are today.
Our boys were truly meant to be with us. The bond we have and the awesome joy they
have brought to out lives has been PRICELESS!!
