If your agency has closed and left you stranded, we will assess your situation and do whatever we can to help complete your adoption. Please call 1-866-586-5656.
The following steps are provided to help you get started:
- After receiving and reviewing your free information packet, call 1-866-586-5656 to speak with a pre-adoption consultant. Our pre-adoption consultants will answer any general adoption questions you may have and advise you on specific adoption criteria.
The pre-adoption consultant will also assist you with registering for an adoption seminar. If there is not one scheduled near you, a phone seminar can be conducted at your convenience.
At this stage many of our clients will complete the online application and application fee with the assistance of the pre-adoption consultant.
- Upon approval of your application, you will be sent the adoption contract. Once you have read, signed, and submitted this contract, you will be assigned a personal consultant and receive your country specific adoption guide.
- You will also be assisted with securing a home study agency (EAC is licensed to conduct home studies in OH, NY and FL.)
- USCIS - Your personal consultant will guide you on USCIS and country specific dossier documents. Hague Convention countries require submission of an I-800A; Non-Hague Convention countries require the submission of an I-600A. Your adoption consultant will assist you in determining which form to complete. The form should not be submitted until your home study is complete. The filling fee for each of these forms is $720. There is an additional $85 fee for biometrics for each person living in the household 18 years of age or older.
- Your consultant and the EAC team in USA and the foreign country arrange the necessary steps to complete your family (referral, travel, adoption, embassy, visas, travel home, and post adoption services...)
