“What is Maria House and why is it needed?”
When the time comes for older children to leave their orphanage, there are many problems that they encounter. They have no home, family support, job, money or transportation. Many children do not even know how to take a bus. These teenagers are often in dire straights.

Maria House will be a home, halfway between orphanage and the world; a technical college designed around the needs of the students coming out of the orphanages. Plans include classes in cooking, sewing, woodworking, practical skills and exposure to rea world business environments through a bakery/cafe and a bed and breakfast.

This halfway house ... halfway between orphanage and independence ... will give them the time to learn skills and to prepare them to be financially independent. They will learn life.
