Aidan's Adoption Story
A Russia Adoption Story
China

Dear EAC,

In November 2005, I first made contact with EAC and spoke with an adoption consultant in your Strongsville office named Tom. Tom was interested and took his time when I explained to him that my wife Krista and I were interested in adopting a child. After speaking with Tom for several minutes, he said that he would gladly send information about EAC to us. I knew after speaking with Tom that I could count on him and that he was very likely a reflection of EAC. The next day we received a packet of information and we knew that EAC would likely be the agency that would assist us with adopting a child. A pamphlet was included that focused on 'EAC Dads'. It really hit home.

On December 17, 2005, Krista and I attended a seminar at your Strongsville office. We had the pleasure of meeting Margaret, Tom and his son Tommy after the seminar. You answered our questions openly and again we felt very comfortable with EAC and what your agency has accomplished. Shortly after the New Year, we submitted our application and were assigned Bridget Gannon as our consultant. Bridget was very helpful, patient and thorough during the entire process. Bridget offered encouragement and support without being forceful. She did not make any promises that she was not comfortable with but estimated that by fall of 2006, we would be bringing our baby home from Russia.

»There were no unnecessary delays, mistakes or confusion at any time. We felt like they knew us and of course had our true interest at heart.

After completing our dossier and submitting it during the latter part of April, we received our referral on May 3, 2006. A beautiful son was presented to us on that day and our lives changed forever. As expected, the referral department and travel department did not let us down and guided us through the last steps.

We arrived in Moscow and were greeted by Sergey and Michael. During our first trip they along with Elena, the interpreter and every person associated with EAC worked efficiently and professionally. On May 28, 2006 we met our son Aidan Edward Burke. Over the next two day we immediately bonded with Aidan and could hardly wait to get him home. On July 9, 2006 we arrived in Moscow for our second trip to take Aidan home. Again, your staff operated like a fine oiled machine. There were no unnecessary delays, mistakes or confusion at any time. We felt like they knew us and of course had our true interest at heart. The necessary paperwork was painless due in large part to your staff's efficiency and attention to detail. Vitaly and Sergey took good care of us and operated professionally at all times. We were amazed to think that the same thing is happening no only in different regions of Russia, but in several other countries.

We have been home with Aidan since July 20. He is adjusting well and is a complete joy. Nothing can compare to seeing him smile every morning. We would like to thank and commend you and your entire staff for your commitment and assistance in helping us bring Aidan home. Obviously we have spoken very highly of EAC to family, friends and co-workers. Please keep up the good work for all the future families.

Sincerely,
Michael, Krista and Aiden
