Margaret Cole, Founder and Executive Director of EAC, is both a biological and an adoptive mother. Margaret became active in the adoption process after her daughter, Alicia, died at six weeks of age from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). 

Robert Cole, Alicia's uncle, was instrumental in founding the Ukraine and China Program.

It is with prayer and with love that this agency is dedicated to the memory of Uncle Robert and little Alicia. It is our hope, that out of this family's tragedy and loss, might come many good things for families in the United States and orphaned children throughout the world.

Please think of our agency as a resource... a place where you may very well begin to walk the path that will make that dream a reality.  Infants and toddlers are waiting for you.  

Their lives will be forever changed through adoption by loving and caring couples.  These wonderful little children live in orphanages around the world.  They wait too!

Getting Started

EAC wants to be part of your adoption journey!  Adoptions are stressful at times, but our staff is available to assist you throughout the process.

Here are 4 easy steps to get started:
1. Request our free information packet by calling 1-866-586-5656 or by filling out our on-line request form.  Our pre-adoption consultants will answer your general adoption questions as well as any specific country adoption criteria.

2. Register for an EAC adoption seminar..  If there is not one scheduled near you, we offer webinars and phone seminars.

3. Complete the on-line application and submit it with the initial fee.

4. Upon approval of your application, you will be sent EAC’s International Adoption Services Agreement for your signature.

What happens next?

All prospective parents must have a home study done in their state of residence, completed by a licensed social worker or by a representative from a licensed agency.  

EAC is able to provide prospective parents with the names of home study agencies which other EAC families have successfully worked with.  The home study process usually takes 6 – 8 weeks, depending on the time it takes to gather the necessary documentation (e.g., references, clearances, etc.).
